Hallelujah!
this marks my 5th hallelujah nite at KCPC for me. i think every hallelujah nite ends up being pretty memorable. i still remember the one from my freshmen year. it was at our old church, and as we were getting ready for the kids, the infamous bay area fog started to roll in. the fog was so dense that i couldn't even see what was in front of me. i remember i was in room where we were teaching the kids to learn how to use their 'sword of the spirit'. i was the satan and the kids would stab me until i act like i was dying...
well, last nite's weather reminded me of that nite alot. as i got closer to church, i could see the fog rolling in as if we were entering a whole different place... like a dream land.
hallelujah nite was held at the gym that st. emydius has. i was pretty nervous because i was helping out to see that the whole nite went smoothly.
pastor ryan gave a short message on what the word hallelujah nite meant. he said that "hallelujah means praise God". the nite went smoothly although my sumo-wrestling game was not a big hit. we had some good costumes this year. from superman & batman dual, catman, princesses, pooh & tiger, and we even had group of crayola crayons (good job sylvia and the small group!).
after the nite had wrapped up, i was so tired. i went home and dwelled on what pastor ryan had said. "hallelujah means praise God". of course i knew what this word meant, but i seldomly stop and hallelujah for not just what HE did for me, but just who HE is.
like i said, every hallelujah nite reminds of the ones from the previous years, and everytime i look back, all i see is His finger print on every step of the way. and that makes me wanna say,HALLELUJAH!
