so thurday evening i left for pittsburgh after work even tho the warning for hurrican isabel was all over the news. i knew that i was going to drive right thru it cuz it was supposed to go right thru the middle of pennsylvania.

well... can i just say that 5 or 6 hour drive was THE WORST DRIVING CONDITION I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE!!!! : (
i mean at first it was just wind, but strong enough that i had to hold onto the steering wheel to keep my car going staight. then the rain started to come. all at once and SO MUCH rain! the combination of 2-lane highway w/out any shoulder space + crazy maniac big-rig truck drivers + the rain, which came from every direction. i used the fastest rate of window wiper for about 3 hours straight so i can see where i was heading. people, i almost died couple of time! I prayed so much and so hard!!!!

after what seemed like an eternal battle with wind, rain, and big trucks, i made it alive. i got into the pittsburgh area where a sign that read "arrive alive. drive carefully". i would have thought that that sign was really funny and just snuffed at it, but after what i have driven thru, that sign made me thank God that i was alive!

it was good seeing Andy tho and made it all worth it once I got to his place. i never thought i'd be so happy to be in pittsburgh.

we spent the first day here just eating... haha. i love it! i'm gonna go back so fat! thanks andy.

hurrican isabel will go down as one of those unforgettable experience. now i know why they named this mean hurricane, isabel. : )
