Kurt Elling is awesome!
although i got to free my booty in the oakland coliseum last nite as i witnessed the bashing that mariners shelled out, kurt elling did not disapoint me. the show at yoshii's is always great because you seat around the tables as you enjoy a sip of your drink (whatever that is) with a full view of today's greatest jazz performers doing their thang. that's tight.
kurt elling just knew how to wow the crowd with his sense of humor, his "cool"-ness (a must for all jazz musicians), and of course, his voice. i can see that his every action is so carefully thought out to get the audience "grooving" with the music. kurt is a jazz vocalist and he, not only has a smooth voice, he knows how to use the mike to bring his voice to life. but most of all, i got to enjoy the show with a good company. i really can't ask for more. i got to seat with 2 of the sexiest (or borrowing one of these guy's word : "gangsta" sexy) guys in kcpc, ficb, awana, and etc. whatever you wanna call it (what up, andy and billy). and the recently entered 23rd years of his life, martin kang (thanks bro.). hayeun (holly-molly), izzie (20!), jess (where's DK?), jobooty (nuff said), young (sun) and winston (you getting to buff for me) all in the mix to make it a good company. thanks guys. it was fun.
wake up jongmin. the fun stops here. back to work... sigh.
