finally!
ymca summer camp has come to an end. no more ymca summer camp. i'm sick of them kids with no respect and all...
ahh... well, in all honesty, i really miss them all. the kids and fellow counselors who suffered thru this summer full of kids. i thought i would never put those two words together, "miss" and "kids" expect with "not". but here i am a day after ymca's 10 week long summer camp came to an end, i really do miss them already.
well, gotta move on. be strong jongmin. they taught me so much. rap songs, crip walk, what it's like to live in a broken family, how hard it is to stay away from all the "bad" stuff, and, even in the midst of all that, that they could still be kids. however, i think they taught me so much about myself. i can be really mean when i'm under a lot of stress. my sinfulness. my lack of love.
God is good though. He allowed me to experince this summer so that i can learn that about myself again in order that i might be reminded that i really need Him EVERYDAY.
alot of kids asked my if i was coming back next summer. "probably not, i won't be in this area any more". i got a lot of sad faces in return. "be good. stay out of trouble," i said and walked away as fast as i can praying that God would watch over them.
in someways i could easily forget about this summer. it was really hard. yet, something about the faces of every kid makes it hard for me to do that.
