i sat there in front of the tv. it was like 11:30pm. A's down by one. bases loaded. two outs. two strikes. derek lowe winds up. throws a nasty slider to t-long. to my unbelief t-long didn't even move. strike three. game over. GAME OVER??? no way. NO WAY!!!!
i became a fan of the Oakland A's about four years ago. that year they lost to the yankees in the ALCS. the next year to the yankees in ALDS (jeremy giambi didn't slide). last year in ALDS to the twins. this year... facing the boston red sucks... we blew a 2-0 lead in the ALDS and in game 5 of the series, which came down to the wire... we lost AGAIN! that's four years in a row. man, i'm begining to think that becoming an A's fan is the worst decision i've made. it was all those wednesday nite dollar game and dollar hot dogs that got me started.
