aight... time for a weekend update...
fri.
FiCB's annual end-of-the-year-ima-bout-to-die-cuz-finals-are-comin-up picnic.
i left work early to make the bus pick up but like usual the bus was late. this year's picnic site was in lafeyette? where? but the park was beautiful as it was set along this beautiful lake ( i think it was man made) and the weather was perfect. good food. good games. good times. (someone keeps telling me that good times need good food... like i don't know that fact. haha)
sat.
it takes me and holly (hayeun) like 30 mins to wake martin up to go to target. our mission: buy toys for kids. toys for boys. toys for girls. no toys for me. no toys for martin. no toys for holly... this is work.
taget has some cheap toys. after scrounging around for like an hour, we had like the whole cartful of toys for the awana kids. total came out to close to $190! so we all start to panic and pulling stuff out of the bag to return it... balance went down to $130. so we look at each other and "uh... we'll keep some of these, actually..." we looked so stupid. our budget $150. total $146.27. mission accomplished. time for lunch.
we hit up this fish&chips place next to berkeley marina. one of my secret places. holly got cod fish. martin and i got catfish sandwich... dang. so good. sunny day next to berkeley marina sipping on ginger ale (canada dry) and grubbing on some crunchy fish... so good.
we pull up in front of capri and i pull out the orange toy bat and a whiffle ball. we get this spontaneous pitcher-hitter battle going on in the middle of the street, while dodging all the cars that were passing by. haha so much fun.
fast forward to dinner... i was at yag ryan's house. he cooked up some min-a-ttang (bass soup? korean style) and ryan's marinated chicken. dude you should be on the food network. have you own naked ryan the chef show. it was so good.
sun.
morning got started earlier than usual cuz our service started at 9:30 at the new place. worship service was so good. sermon was on having a thankful heart. i really needed to hear that message.
after service, yag, mcg, and college seniors have a bbq at the OG kcpc site at daly city. reminded me of the old church so much. good food. good fun and games. good times. ryan sprained his ankle really bad though. auch. he was in so much pain.
without ryan we had to run the day's awana. we all rush back to church. awana started at 3pm. craziness. awana store. i sold all the boys toys in like 5 mins. made a lot of awana money.
afterawana, we made the new sopho-awana-babies do something for us. they went behind closed doors and prepared. performed the song from little mermaids (not under the sea)... it was so funny. i was rolling around that ground.
good times.
my face got burn at the sunday picnic. it still hurts.
back to work. i miss the good times.
