so since saturday morning, all of the cable modem in the area has been down along with some of us who are "fast-connection addict". i mean i didn't think i belonged to that group... 'my name is jongmin... and i'm addicted to fast-connection internet'
i mean i don't even own a computer that belongs to me, yet, when the exicte@home filed chapter 11, my life seemed to be running at no less than 56k... alot of people are trying to feed their addiction with their decade old dial up modem on their computer, and getting in touch with people seems impossible as only the sound of busy tone rings in my ear...
yeah... life is chaotic here in berkeley... people are trying to console each other, while those few who are still on DSL are enjoying ride on a open highway while rest of us are stuck on a gridlock worse than the traffic on I-5...
i've given up hope and am feeding my addiction here in the IEOR lab... well, i do have alot of work to do, but for once, this feels like home... hehe... that sounds kinda crazy, but it's true. at least for about two more weeks, and then i'll get my access denied once school is over... forever... oh no! what will i do then! ahhh....
i don't even wanna think about it... for now, i'll just happily work on my project, while knowing that i have the power to go online and surf and roam as much as i want to while others are suffering...
